You can create a subdomain for your website in cPanel in a few easy steps. It allows you to create a subsection of your website under the same account existing as a separate site without the need to register a new domain. With this guide, users can set up a new subdomain for their website.
Requirements
- A server with cPanel.
- cPanel login credentials.
Create a Subdomain in cPanel
- Login to cPanel.
- Under the Domains section, click Subdomains.
- Enter the prefix of your new subdomain. From the dropdown menu under the Domain section, select the domain to which the subdomain is assigned. A directory name is generated for the subdomain by default. You can change it if you choose.
- Once all selections are made, click Create.
- A success confirmation appears advising that the new subdomain is created.
- Navigating back to the Subdomains page shows the newly created subdomain under Modify a Subdomain. Here you can edit the directory for the files, remove the subdomain, or create and manage any redirects.
